North Somerset Children & Families Partnership

The North Somerset Children and Families Partnership has recently been formed to replace the role previously undertaken by the Children's Management Trust Board. The Children and Families Partnership brings together representatives from a range of organisations working for the benefit of children and young people and their families across the area.

The Partnership is committed to ensuring that all children and young people in North Somerset should be enabled to reach their fullest potential as individuals, learners and citizens.

To achieve this, the partnership provides a strategic overview and challenges all partners to ensure that our organisations work together and with children and young people to identify and meet the needs of children and young people across the five key outcomes. These are:

  • Be healthy
  • Stay safe
  • Enjoy and achieve
  • Make a positive contribution
  • Achieve economic wellbeing

The partnership has expressed it's aims and objectives in delivering these priorities in the Children & Families Partnership Plan.

The Children and Families Partnership (C&FP) supports the North Somerset Partnership in delivery of the shared priorities of the North Somerset Sustainable Community Strategy. There are no specific chapters within the Strategy regarding children and young people as it was felt important that their issues are raised across all the shared priorities and with all the delivery partnerships. However, the C&FP will take a lead on the aims and improvements specific to children and young people whilst also contributing to and working with the other delivery partnerships where appropriate.
