This delivery partnership brings together the previous Economy and Employment, Learning and Skills and Transport delivery partnerships. 

Its focus is to help deliver the aims and improvements under the 'Developing a Prosperous Economy and Enterprising Community' and the 'Living Within Environmental Limits' shared priorities of the SCS.

A high quality environment is vital for our quality of life and learning to live within environmental limits will be a significant challenge for the district over the next 25 years.

 

Economic growth will increasingly depend on enterprise and innovation and the ability to develop, attract and retain a skilled workforce. It will also require greater efficiency and moves to a low-carbon, low-waste economy to help tackle climate change. Future technological advances may change employment and travel-to-work patterns considerably over the coming decades.
