The Social Enterprise Resource Guide [2007](pdf, 176k) is a quick, first step guide for social entrepreneurs and community groups wishing to mould their social enterprising ideas into a creative but formal structure.
It has been produced by the North Somerset Enterprise Agency, a partner on the NSP.
Social enterprises are businesses with 'primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally re-invested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners' (Office of the Third Sector).
