Parish Plans

A Parish Plan is produced by and for local communities.  The process provides local people with an opportunity to consider what is important to them and help guide future activity within their parish or town.

Any size community can come together to develop a Parish Plan.  Town and Parish Councils play a key role in stimulating, supporting and guiding this process and overseeig the implementation of a plan once developed.

A Parish Plan is a living document that details how the community would like to move forward over the next 5 - 10 years.

In North Somerset 13 Parish Plans have been completed and 14 more are underway. 

The priorities and issues highlighted by Parish Plans have already helped to shape the North Somerset Sustainable Community Strategy and will continue to influence our work programmes.
