Community Involvement

We are very keen to involve local communities in the development of strategies and plans which will help to improve quality of life for all in North Somerset.  For example:

• The current Community Strategy drew on views expressed by local people through various activities such as the Citizen's Panel, Crime surveys and Weston Visioning consultation.
  
  
• The new Sustainable Community Strategy will be influenced by communities' views collected through specific consultations that took place during the summer of 2006, comments from Parish Planning exercises as well as consultations undertaken by our partners.
  
  
• Delivery Partnerships consider community views when developing their action plans to better respond to community needs.
  
  
• Stakeholders and community representatives can also be involved through attending our Annual Partnership Events.  At these events you will hear about our work during the previous year, work planned for the future and have an opportunity to comment on particular issues
