Help shape the future of North Somerset

Have your say on how North Somerset will grow and prosper over the next 20 years.

North Somerset Council is inviting comments on the draft Core Strategy which outlines the main areas for growth and development up until 2026. The Core Strategy is the overall planning and development framework and supports delivery of the spatial aspects of the Sustainable Community Strategy.

The document sets out a range of policy proposals which look to make future development better designed and more sustainable. These policies address several key issues across the district.

The consultation draft of the Core Strategy and a summary leaflet 'Shaping North Somerset's Future' can be viewed at local libraries or on the North Somerset Council website.

In January 2010 there will be an opportunity to talk to planners and find out more about how the Core Strategy affects you during a series of drop-in sessions across the district. The dates and venues of these sessions will be published in January edition of the North Somerset Council magazine 'North Somerset Life'.
