New Chair for the Partnership

Nigel Ashton, Leader of North Somerset Council, was elected as Chair of the North Somerset Partnership at the Board meeting on 22 January.

After more than five years of supporting and driving the work of the NSP, Bob Wayne decided to stand down as Chair of the NSP Board in October 2007.

He had originally planned to step down in 2006 but had agreed to continue in his role while we waited for new national partnership guidance from government. 

Bob's commitment and energy has resulted in the development of significant work programmes being developed that have had a positive impact within communities in North Somerset.

The Board made a presentation to Bob to thank him for his work and he wished the partnership continued success in the future.
