How are we doing?

The North Somerset Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) sets out our long-term vision for the area and outlines a number of aims and improvements we would like to see. 

A key mechanism for delivering these aims was the Local Area Agreement (LAA) which included a number of performance indicators and targets. The 2007-2010 LAA ended with some great results and enabled us to achieve over £2.5m of performance reward grant.

This performance reward grant has been used to fund a number of projects which build on the work of the LAA and continue to benefit our communities. These projects will run to 2014 and will be monitored on a regular basis.

The NSP Board will continue to oversee the delivery of the shared priorities and aims of the Sustainable Community Strategy through monitoring the work programmes of the new People & Communities Board and the Infrastructure & Local Economy Board.
